Benjamin has an MA in Family and Human Development from Utah State University and a BS in Sociology from BYU. He has worked for two different Head Start grantees for a total of 15 years in a variety of positions including Family Advocate, Parent Involvement Specialist, Family Development Specialist, Fatherhood Specialist, Center Manager, Regional TA Lead, and lastly as the Utah North Area Manager and ERSEA Director for the past four years. He was an integral part of Centro’s grant awards for the Migrant Program as well as Centro’s two Childcare Partnership programs. These positions in addition to his bilingual capabilities have given him extensive experience working with people from diverse cultures and socio-economic backgrounds.
He is looked to as a leader in his professional career as well as in his religious life. As a former cross-country runner, Ben still enjoys running on a regular basis. He loves camping, fishing, and hiking with his wife and six children.
